Impact & Philanthropy

On Making an Impact

At Steyn Group, we believe capital should create value beyond financial returns.

Our focus is on building a sustainable, positive impact in the communities where we invest and operate.

We provide infrastructure and zero time preference capital to seed, support and scale emerging investment managers and operating businesses.

We partner with business owners who are navigating significant transitions — whether preparing for retirement, pursuing growth opportunities, or seeking experienced leadership to guide the next chapter.

Impact

We concentrate where we believe long-term partnership capital can make the most difference

Through these focus areas, we aim to align enduring investment with meaningful progress.

Philanthropy

Our philanthropy is about compassion, empowerment, and justice

Inspired by the EMS Foundation, we support initiatives that protect the vulnerable, uplift communities, and safeguard our shared environment.

Protecting the Vulnerable

Supporting children, the elderly, and marginalized groups with resources, skills, and opportunities.

Wildlife Welfare

Advocacy & Awareness

Driving research, policy change, and public awareness to advance social justice and impact.

About Us

On Our Role in Society

We believe both impact and philanthropy should do more than give back – they should transform lives, protect futures, and create meaningful progress for people, wildlife, and communities alike.

We try to meet owners wherever they are on their journey.

At Steyn Group, we believe responsible investing and giving back are natural extensions of how we operate as long-term partners.

While our primary focus is building enduring businesses and investments, we are equally mindful of the broader role we play in society.

About Us

On Two Focuses

Our impact is expressed through two complementary lenses

We try to meet owners wherever they are on their journey.

Impact Investing

We selectively back opportunities where strong commercial outcomes align with meaningful positive change. This includes initiatives in areas such as sustainability, climate solutions, and social innovation, which is where capital can both generate returns and contribute to long-term progress.

Philanthropy

Beyond investing, we actively support philanthropic initiatives that matter to our people and communities. Whether through direct giving, partnerships with charities, or hands-on involvement, we look for ways to make a tangible difference.
